Fall Break Extra Credit

While you're basking in the fall autumn air, why not do some extra credit?  Below are some options.

1.       Mark your calendar for October 20th...it's the annual Book Festival at the SLC Main Library! http://www.utahhumanities.org/BookFestival/2012/BookFestivalProgram2012.pdf  Extra credit for all those who attend! Write a one page double spaced reflection on what you experienced and thought about.

2. Any entry for Reflections, "The Magic of a Moment" will receive extra credit.  Duplicate your entry, or if it is a piece of art you may take a picture to show me.

3. Watch the movie, Under the Same Moon and write a one page double spaced reflection on how it connects to main themes and ideas (segregation, growing up, humanity, innocence, etc.) of our class novel To Kill a Mockingbird.  This is a thoughtful movie and is not a political statement, but rather a way to see the same themes and ideas we are discussing in class in our current day world.
